time it was it was #01, 25th March 2017

ho hum dum-de-dum here we go again, time it is to timely travel time through time, let's say an hour, and hour forward, how would that sound?.... who indeed would pass up the opportunity to time-travel even if it's only a measly hour, an hour neither here nor there... although we time-travel every day, every second, every minute, every hour, as time never stops, takes a breather, nor a load-off, pause for thought or mind a jot of mindless mindfulness and just keeps rollin', rollin', rollin'....... 'appens, just in one direction...... but tonight, tonight, tonight it'll hop, skip and unhelpfully jump a whole soddin' hour... again!...... use it or, well it's Hobson's Choice, we lose it.... or... do we save it for a rainy day, most probably October when we pass 'Go' and collect our missing 60 minutes....... the whole thing's a nonsense of course with a smidgen of dubious pleasure to set the alarm and wake up at 2am to anxiously charge around changing every single timepiece as fast as you can for fear that one might get left behind by a minute or two...... or staying up until 2am and in a bleary-eyed haze changing clocks only days later to notice some have gone forward but others gone back!....... but we do love our 'traditions',  our raison d'ĂȘtre, citing "we've always done it this way" to justify doing what we haven't a clue as to why and will stolidly defend in the process again with no inkling.... but should there be change or questions arise then woebetide! the tides of 'tradition' are sacred and not for the tinkering....... that is, when it suits us, and clocks back and forward an hour seems (as far as we know) largely benign and it permits us a token grumble as that too is also tradition, and we do like a grumble to gives us a sense that we have some choice and control when really we rarely do.... but..... dare to slip in something 'new' then you'll have very full hands with increasingly sharp intakes of breath, "that's not how we've always done it" and "I won't be told what to do" when in fact yes you are every single day....... and here lies the topic of tomorrows bloggery otherwise this will ramble on far longer than hour you'll be losing.........
