fugitive dust, 21st October 2013

today the world is very wet, it drips and drips and drips like sweat, but isn't sweat, it's rain that loudly splats the panes and lindyhops upon the roof, awash, awash, 'tis all a-wash to fall in puddles splish and splosh!.......... it'll soon be time to put the clocks back..... to once again travel back in time and redo an hour I've just done all over again......... it keeps the dust down anyway... not the clocks going back, the rain......... have you ever just watched dust floating about at home?........ when I catch it in a shaft of light... I once thought that it was the actual shaft of light that kicked up the dust...... it isn't, the dust is there already floating about.... some dust never seems to settle.... fugitive dust!....... you can still as still as you like, and even hold your breath....... (health warning: don't ever hold it for too long though, one tends to pass out, or your cheeks look like your storing nuts)......... you could do an impression of a statue and still there will be dust that won't settle...... just there, on the air, floating....... makes me realise how much dust there is, we are all just covered in it all the time, unknowingly........ even straight after a shower it won't be long before it once again lands on you and takes up residence......
