redefining quiet, 14/July/17

at the sound of the next gull it will be
. . .
. . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . 5:45am

.... some days it's hard to focus the lens... too many thoughts crowding in and all in the wrong order, all wanting attention, wanting to be first, grabby sticky fingers... I have a thought and then it's infiltrated by another and another squabbling in a disorderly queue.... children running around the playground with their arse hanging out...... like people thinking how cool they are with all-singing, fashionista gadgetry, tech, shoes, cars and frippery merely feeding a frenzy, rebels without a clue in vapid displays of 'free will' and 'choice'........... the Y2K millennium bug didn't crash our computers sending us spiralling back into some unenlightened darker age, something much more insidious happened crashing our already embattled common sense... although 'common sense' isn't quite as common as the term hints...........
erosion
erosion
surrender
to a higher power or the lowest bidder?
more false gods than you can throw a real one at........
..... is one found in a so-called holy book more, or less, valid than one found trawling the internet or global corporate boardrooms wielding attrition until only one humongous monster remains raving and drooling and squirming beneath the bed?........
we never learn
we never grow up....
.... am I choosing a new mobile phone or is it choosing me?.... they all look so cute,  batting their innocent screens at me...... and all, well, different names, colours, shapes. logos, but at the end their respective anti-theft alarmed leashes all utterly identical designed to make you identical, identifiable and as off-the-shelf defined as the next hapless punter......
.... there's too much noise, too many thoughts, all needing to escape, organise, arrange, slot into slots.... so loud they're redefining quiet........
