then the sun came out, 13/June/17

... and then the sun came out.......

... and everyone smiled, relieved, grateful of the reprieve ignoring that all feel-good aftermaths need a before'math.......

... and then the sun came out.......

... and ruined everything, what's there to moan about when the sun's about making hunky dory with the sky......

... and then the sun came out.....

... and all was forgiven, people moved on with a whole new repertoire of distractions to enjoy and endure......

... and then the sun came out......

... and littered the beaches with deckchairs and 'combers, gardens with sprinklers, barbecues and paddling pools, ice cream and lotion taking care not to confuse the one for the other (unless that's your thing as summer can bring out the strangest of strange)....

and then the sun came out.....

...even though winter was still struggling to get off the blocks and never quite getting there without kicking over one climatic hurdle after the next with the most it could do was to blow up a occasional hoolie with a-huff-and-a-puff and hoping it's just enough to say "I was here, I was here"..... just.......
... and then the sun came out......

... and everyone sleepwalked all the way through the dullness of days filling each crack with more mundane crap and anything else they could find.......

... and then the sun came out.......

... and stayed out too long and the smiling gratefuls became grumpy ungratefuls, my grass is too brown, I look like a lobster!, oh look there's a 'freckle' I'd not seen before.....

... and then the sun came out......

... scorching the earth, fraying the nerves, drinking the water til nothing remained, knowing full well who was clearly to blame as the wells became clearly unwell.......

... and then sun came out.....

... and remained and winter became a wish long begone, begotten, forgotten and thinner than thoughts that had never got thought became long unfulfilled as degree by fractional chinks of degree we crinkled and dwindled were whittled away till no one was left to recall we were here, who we were nor the time of the day just a space that once had a name.....

... and then the sun came out.....

... and while it looked down nothing looked up.
