mumblegrumble, 17th December 2016

there's nothing wrong with mumbling... it's an underrated discipline, and a discipline it is...... it takes skill to mumble properly, properly enough to make a mumble worth mumbling... and of course you do need something to mumbles.... not to be confused with Mumbles, which is a headland off the tip of Swansea Bay in Wales........ nor to be confused with bumbling as that's what we do when drunk, or what some politicians I could mention all-too frequently do day-in day-out... but let's not go there, all political and blah-blah ranty....... nor with fumbling... when you're being cack-handed or clumsy, or what can and does happen during nervous sexual encounters...... nor to be confused with tumbling as that's what happens when you fall and fail to miss the ground....... nor stumbling, often associated with tumbling, trip-hazards and indeed words!........ nor should we further confuse it with crumbling, which is what I do at the end of every day... or what cookies do resulting in a tell-tale trail of crumbs down your jumper/ sweater......... nor rumbling, as that's what my tummy does when I've neglected it.... unless there be thunder on the horizon..... nope, it's my tummy......... nor indeed humbling, something which many find trickier than even mumbling.... (or maybe it's a mumbling humming... hummmbling)........ most definitely not to be confused with grumbling..... although the two can occur simultaneously if you're wily enough... it does take a deft hand, and mouth, to merge the two in perfect synergy but given practise and repeat prescriptions can be achieved with enviable results... you might surprise yourself!..... you shouldn't be offended nor irritated by mumbling as you shouldn't be listening anyway...... mumbling isn't for others to hear...... simply private conversations with oneself....
